Toshi

Toshi is a contemporary Japanese and Nikkei restaurant located in one of the most vital areas of Miraflores. Oishii is also the best word in Japanese that one can choose to celebrate a tasty meal among friends. Its cuisine, by Toshiro Konishi, Peru's most important itamae, focuses on two fundamental ingredients: on one hand, the delicate selection and deep knowledge of each of the Peruvian inputs used (nobody knows our sea as Toshiro); On the other hand, the meeting between the technical skill required by traditional Japanese food and the creative freshness enjoyed by modern Western cuisine. Dialogue and natural interaction with diners are important steps in the recipe for Oishii, a concept that has been designed to the millimeter by its experienced manager Rosemarie Forbes. The service and atmosphere, designed by Luz Maria Buse, promote a relaxed and casual experience, which breaks with the classic formality of Japanese restaurants in Lima. Still, every detail - from the orchids to the pottery created by the potter Sonia Céspedes - has been thought carefully with a single objective: to design an exquisite and friendly gastronomic experience.
